Speed Over Quality in Hiring

Recruiters: do you have too many jobs to fill and no time to do it right?

It's not easy, but resist the urge to sacrifice quality for speed. It happens all too often. And when that happens, everyone loses and you end up with more work on your hands to correct a bad situation.

While it may seem obvious, we lose track of things when we are too busy. Make sure you pay close attention to a candidate's:

1. Responsiveness

2. Professionalism

3. Phone demeanor

These are easy things to track. Don't give in to quality for the sake of getting new hires on board faster. It will exacerbate your problems.
