Should I narrow or broaden my search?

It's common these days to be out of work for long periods of time. And the trouble is, many of us have a concern that didn't exist only a year or so ago. 

Is my job still relevant? 

Are companies using AI for the work I do?

The answer is likely yes and yes. From the news, it's very easy to fall into the trap of "AI has taken over and my job doesn't exist anymore." But in fact, data shows that AI is not the one and only factor driving changes in the job market. 

I urge you to take a step back and think more critically about your current search and target role/s. Many people have asked us if we recommend that they narrow their search but remain open to a pivot. 

I'm going to say you may very well need to go narrow and expand, which I know sounds crazy! Let me explain. 

When I say narrow, I mean, focus your search so that you have a clear strategy.
