Career B*tches welcomes guest Sarah Avendaño this week to discuss recruiting, activism, and more!

Sarah is a vice president and senior search associate at Koya Partners. She has extensive international recruitment and staffing experience. and has successfully partnered with global clients such as BRAC International, the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, IPPF/WHR, Americares, Amnesty International USA, World Animal Protection, the Equality Fund, Center for Victims of Torture, Water For People, Shining Hope for Communities (SHOFCO), JA Africa, and MCE Social Capital. Before joining Koya, she worked for Euromonitor International in Chicago, a UK-based global market intelligence firm that provides strategic research services for consumer markets. She served as a senior member of the project staffing and development team, responsible for recruitment, training, and project staffing across 30+ countries in the Americas.

Passionate about issues of social justice, she is a co-facilitator for Race Conscious Dialogues, a community anti-racism program in Oak Park, IL. Sarah received her BA in communication from St. Louis University. Two of four university years were spent in Madrid, Spain and she is fluent in Spanish. She lives in the Chicago area with her family.
